When you accept Tera’s Terms of Service, you also agree to the terms of service of each model’s underlying provider, for any model whose provider is not Tera.

How this works

Tera serves models in two ways:
  • Models on Tera’s own infrastructure. Tera holds the weights and serves inference directly. Your API interaction is governed by Tera’s Terms of Service. The model’s open-weight license still governs anything you do downstream with the outputs (redistribution, fine-tuning, derivative works).
  • Models routed to an upstream provider. For some models, Tera forwards requests to the originating provider’s API. In that case, both Tera’s Terms of Service and that provider’s terms of service apply to your use.
The table below lists the upstream provider for each model family, along with the applicable license or terms URL. Platform terms of service entries marked TBD will be linked once the provider URLs are confirmed.

Tera’s commitments

Regardless of which model you use, Tera’s own data handling commitments apply to Tera’s portion of the request lifecycle: no retention of prompt or completion content, no training on your traffic, no human review in the normal course of operations. For details on what Tera logs and where data lives, see Privacy.
